There are various venues for exhibitions in Berwick where you can find Berwick artists producing and exhibiting Art in Berwick, as well as installations from other Northumberland artists and beyond.

The Granary Gallery is located within the Granary building off Bridge Street, along with Berwick YHA and the Granary Bistro. The Gallery is open Wed-Sun 11am-5pm during exhibition dates.

Berwick Watchtower has opened as a gallery to house the work of Ian Stephenson, along with a selection of paintings from Kate and Ian Stephenson's private collection and a changing programme of exhibitions by guest artists, open during exhibitions; Thursday-Sunday, 12noon-4pm. Please note, the Watchtower is closing to the public from 6th Nov 2017, it will re-open with a major show of the work of Ian Stephenson in due course.

The Gymnasium Gallery  is adjacent to the Barracks Museum complex by the Elizabethan Town Walls. The Gallery is open Wed-Sun 11am-5pm during exhibition dates (Seasonal gallery Easter-October).

For Lowry fans, don't miss the 'Lowry Trail' which is a self-guided tour of Berwick, walking in the footsteps of the great matchstick-men painter.

To buy some local artist’s work, head to Bridge Street to find Berwick based artists selling their own pieces alongside other well-known Northumbrian artists work. Visit The Framing Gallery and Sallyport Gallery. Berwick Tourist Information Centre on Marygate, also sells a range of work by local artists and craftspeople.

Berwick Arts and Crafts Group  promotes information about forthcoming exhibitions, talks and workshops in photography, art, textiles, woodwork and much more, along with details of local craft fairs and groups in the area.

Many of Berwick’s Artists also take part in the Crossing Borders Art Trail, which takes place at the end of August each year.

The Tower House Pottery is located in Tweedmouth and is home to Peter and Margaret Thomas, who run a small studio pottery, producing earthenware based on traditional English slipware. Having lived in Berwick since 1976, they produce beautifully illustrated ceramics reflecting this picturesque location.

Dockside Gallery by the docks in Tweedmouth on the south bank of the River Tweed exhibits orginal artworks as well as hosting guest artists painting on location.
