Autumn 2018 - What's on

Autumn Festivals

Autumn is Berwick's 'Festival Season'! With Berwick Food and Beer Festivals, Berwick Film and Media Arts Festival and the Berwick Literary Festival, all taking place in town during September and October.

Another annual event not to be missed is Heritage Open Days. Heritage Open Days is your once-a-year chance to explore the world on your doorstep, unlocked and completely free of charge! The full programme is to be announced mid-July, but with tours, walks and hidden gems to explore, it promises to be a fascinating time to visit Berwick.

There are also exhibitions taking place at the Granary Gallery, Gymnasium Gallery and Berwick Museum and Art Gallery within the Barracks. For theatre, cinema, comedy and live music events, the Maltings Arts Centre is the premier venue in North Northumberland.

Antique and Collectors Fairs take place regularly and there are Car Boot sales in Spittal every Sunday (May-Sept) as well as the twice-weekly Street Markets (Wednesdays and Saturdays) held on Marygate and the Buttermarket (under the Town Hall).

For spectators sporting events visit Shielfield Park (Tweedmouth), home to Berwick Rangers Football Club and Berwick Bandits Speedway. If you would like to participate in some physical activities and events, go to the Swan Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool, also in Tweedmouth.
