‘BBC Jazz Awards Rising Star’ Andrew McCormack is at the forefront of British jazz and he’s bringing his extraordinary solo piano show to the Steinway Model D Concert Grand Piano at The Maltings.

He was awarded BBC Jazz Awards Rising Star in the same year. McCormack has gained international recognition since joining the Kyle Eastwood quintet in 2007. The London Symphony Orchestra commissioned a composition (‘Incentive’) for a Barbican Centre concert in 2009 as part of their Panufnik Young Composers Scheme. McCormack’s second album, Live in London, was released by Edition in 2012 followed by First Light in 2014 with McCormack’s trio featuring drummer Colin Stranahan and bassist Zach Lober. McCormack has released critically acclaimed albums with his band Graviton (Ubuntu Music’s Graviton and The Calling) and saxophonist Jason Yarde (Duo, Places & Other Spaces and Juntos). McCormack’s solo album was released in 2020 on Ubuntu Music was also critically acclaimed.
