About the project:

Connecting Threads is the cultural strand of the Destination Tweed project. Our aim is to connect communities to the River Tweed environment through cultural events and activities.

Over the past few months we have been working in 5 community gardens along the Tweed to make short films with gardeners in each garden to celebrate their growing spaces. In Berwick we worked with the Castlegate Community Garden, Castle Vale Park and Flagstaff Park, with garden volunteers, the Friends of Castle Parks and parks development officer Kate Dixon.
