Berwick Rangers Football Club is the only English club which plays in the Scottish League and was formed in 1881 when an enthusiastic group of players, led by local businessman and town councillor Peter Cowe, came together regularly on an informal basis for training on the Bull Stob Close pitch before getting their first taste of competitive action with home and away matches against Alnwick, both of which ended in draws.
Berwick Rangers Football Club is a football team based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, England, just south of the border with Scotland. Founded in 1884, they currently play in the Lowland Football League, the fifth tier of Scottish football, and were the only club from outside Scotland in the Scottish Professional Football League until their relegation in 2019.
