Berwick Film Society: The Taste of Things (La Passion de Dodin Bouffant)

Set in France during the late 1880s, a skilled cook (Juliette Binoche) meticulously creates the indulgent dishes invented by a gourmand in his beautiful chateau on a rural estate.

The long-standing relationship between the two simmers gently, while he is hopeful that she will one day agree to marry him. Meanwhile, prestigious friends are invited to lavish meals, ever impressed by the combined culinary talents of the duo.
