This is Liz Jones first time headlining here as a trio but did first appear at Repas 7 in 2023 when she supported @tommybentzband and we couldn’t wait to get her back.
Songwriter Liz Jones, originally from South London, via Cumbria, has landed a creative base in Edinburgh working beside celebrated & internationally toured musicians on her original music. A singer also in the roots rock & blues worlds, most known for a hybrid soothing and raucous “voice that could wake the dead”.
Wry, idiosyncratic, biting at reality and often personal lyrics coming from an unconventional life and a ‘peace & love’ hippy spirit. Performed in a, ‘whichever way the wind blows’ style, Jones has been bizarrely compared vocally to both Dusty Springfield and Janis Joplin, but neither are correct. New releases are expected in 2023, after the all originals debut solo album ‘Bounty’, received worldwide radio play and excellent reviews.
