The facility at Northern View in Spittal is a fabulous edition to the community and includes specialist equipment such as hoists, curtains, an adult sized changing bench and extra space for carers.
It has been made possible by grants and funding provided by Sir James Knott Trust (£10,000), National Lottery Community Fund (£10,000), The Simpson McCreath Trust (£5,000) and Northumberland County Council’s Community Chest (£5,000).
It has been named ‘The Griffton Suite’ in honour of Haley Griffiths (Griff), director, who died in 2021 and Karen Renton (ton) who did the fundraising.
The facility is open every day.
Monday to Thursday: 9am to 4.30pm
Friday: 9am to 10pm
Saturday: 11am to 10pm
Sunday: 12 noon to 10pm
If anyone would like to use it outside those times they just need to call: 01289 304615 to book a slot.
